The aim of this work should be an attempt to materialize my subjective reflection of the blending of two different scenes and subcultures. It should reflect my perception of these subcultures and their similarities and differences, as well as how they relate to each other or to society at all. More than research, I would like to focus on my personal inner testimony.
Trends, Dictates and Rebellions: Image Changes During the 20th Century

The thesis deals with the key transformations of the image in the 20th century, presenting the main fashion trends dominating mainly in Europe and America and their connection with political and social developments during the century. It seeks to offer a view of image as a tool of fashion and ideological dictate, mentioning some significant figures of the decades and their influence on the clothing revolutions. Attention is also paid to rebellious subcultures rejecting mass trends or dark chapters of history, when the forced suppression of image against the background of political events played a role.

This work describes the influence of western culture on the Japanese people as well as their traditional and popular culture and it's impact on the western society. Japanese popular culture includes anime, manga, subcultures and japanese popular music. Moreover the most importmant facts about the development of Japanese culture are explained. Production and Maintaining Authenticity as a Subcultural Capital: the Case of Czech Freetekno Subculture

(in English) This Master's Thesis focuses on the analysis of the issue of production and maintenance of authenticity as subculture capital. Analyzing the case of a decline of interest of participation in the Czech Freetekno subculture, this Thesis shows how analytically grasp the issue of authenticity and subcultural capital. The research is methodologically built on a combination of in-depth interviews and participant field observation. Primary data are then complemented with an analysis of secondary data in the form of media articles, flyers, and social networks. The main argument of this Master's Thesis is that apart from a distinctive dimension, authenticity also has a substantive dimension. Authenticity does not represent only a distinctive element that internally and externally differentiates the field of a subculture. It is also an element that gives a subculture its inner content, meaning, and sense for both current and new members. Authenticity is not only a resource used in the competition of status but is also a source of the content of a subculture and the pleasure of participating in it. Rap Scene as a Public Sphere: How Political Criticism Appears in Czech Rap and How Its Consequences in Public Relations

Diploma thesis Rap Scene as a Public Sphere: How Political Criticism Appears in Czech Rap and How Its Consequences in Public Relations presents Czech rap subculture in the context of traditional and modern approaches to cultural studies. Work deals with Czech rap as a public sphere that has the opportunity to speak to broad fan bases through its content, to establish public discourse and to shape the way of listeners' thinking about public affairs. The diploma thesis focuses on the politicization of rap and politically motivated texts by the authors of the Czech rap scene. The diploma thesis includes content analyzes of selected songs of the Czech rap underground and mainstream scene, which are interpreted with context to approaches to the study of subcultures and pop culture. The research includes in-depth interviews with Czech musicians and analyzes of other media interviews of some authors. The primary goal of the research is to find out the motivation and demotivation of Czech rap artists to enter into a public debate on political issues by their songs. The thesis reveals how Czech rappers understand their own position within the system of the majority society and answers questions about the current form of Czech and global rap music production.

Veganism in popculture focusing on czech music scene

The bachelor thesis "Veganism in popculture focusing on czech music scene" deals with the role of musicians in propagation of a lifestyle or philosophy. It focuses on the czech music scene applying the case study method on several areas of impact of two musicians - Ben Cristovao as a representative of the music mainstream and Lukáš Vincour as a member of a music subculture. The case study is using two types of research methods - content analysis in combination with a questionnaire survey. The content analysis looks into three areas of impact of the musicians - music, self-presentation and activism. The aim is to find out whether the musicians promote veganism in the above mentioned areas and if the do, which means of communication they use. A part of the thesis explains veganism as a lifestyle and a social phenomenon. The research is put into the theory of music, music subcultures and music glory as a means of propagation of a lifestyle or philosophy considering cultural and popcultural context.

Rostislav Čevela, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This diploma thesis deals with the education and healthy lifestyle in the category of teenagers. The aim of the diploma thesis is to map out the important issues that affect the lifestyles of teenagers, mainly in relation to the secondary school environment, school documents, such as ŠVP, RVP and the effects of high-risk behavior. The diploma thesis also focuses on the important aspect of this topic, the interaction teacher - pupil, the aim of this section is to document and analyze whether the students perceive their teacher's approach to a healthy lifestyle and whether it's something that personally affects them. The current approaches to the education and healthy lifestyle in the secondary school environment are documented and analyzed in the diploma thesis.
